NBSC ICS Launches Phase 2 of E-CAIS with Intensive Digital Citizenship Training for ALS Implementers
Building on the successful foundation of its collaborative project, Empowering Community ALS Implementers through Digital Citizenship (E-CAIS), Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) Institute for Computer Studies (ICS) has officially launched Phase 2 of the initiative with an orientation today. This phase marks a significant step forward in equipping Alternative Learning System (ALS) champions with crucial digital skills.
The E-CAIS project, a joint effort between NBSC’s External Office and the College of Computer Studies, in partnership with ALS Bukidnon, aims to empower Community ALS Implementers to become proficient and responsible digital citizens. This initiative is formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NBSC and ALS Bukidnon, demonstrating a shared commitment to community development and educational advancement.
ALS implementers from Manolo Fortich, Libona, Malitbog, and Baungon districts participated in this activity. Phase 2 of E-CAIS will feature an intensive 11-day lecture series designed to provide ALS champions with in-depth training on various aspects of digital citizenship. The curriculum will cover essential skills and knowledge to navigate the digital world effectively.
The Institute for Computer Studies’s extension project collaboration is facilitated by the Extension Coordinator, Miss Christine Joy G. Sagaosao, in coordination with NBSC’s Community Extenstion and Services Division (CESD), headed by Mr. Alven L. Gomez, MsEST.
The collaboration between NBSC and ALS Bukidnon reflects a shared vision of fostering inclusive and accessible education through digital empowerment. This initiative will enhance ALS implementers’ capabilities and contribute to the community’s digital literacy.
